The national day of silence will
be held in the public schools again on April 25 to promote homosexuality. It is ironic that this day of national shame
and perversion among America’s youth will be occurring during the Feast of
Unleavened Bread. Paul said, 1Corinthians 5:8 (8) “Therefore
let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and
wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” That’s not quite what will be going on in the public
schools.
The American Family
Association sent out a couple of email alerts about the upcoming day of silence. A list of schools officially supporting this
observance was included. That list was compiled from information on homosexual web sites. Parents were encouraged to see if their
school was on the list, and if so, to contact their
school about the matter.
The second AFA letter,
sent on March 16, said:
“Homosexual Day of Silence
- Is Your Child's School on the list?
Because of the action of
concerned parents, hundreds of schools have removed their school as a listed
participant in the pro-homosexual "Day of Silence."
You can join the fight for your children too!
On, Friday, April 25,
several thousand schools across the nation will be observing "Day of
Silence (DOS)." DOS is a nationwide push to
promote the homosexual lifestyle in public schools.
When AFA alerted parents
of this public school classroom disruption by homosexual student activists,
many took action immediately! If you haven't gotten involved, it's critical that you do so today!
A simple phone call or
letter to school administrators, telling them your child will not attend school
the day it observes DOS, may be enough to cause some participating schools to
change their plans.
Please listen to a
60-second radio ad warning parents about Day of Silence, then
forward this email to your local Christian or conservative radio station. Ask them to broadcast it as a Public Service
Announcement. MP3

In the past week alone,
over 200 schools have announced they are dropping plans to participate. Please, get involved for the sake or your
children, and all children, today!”
Looking at the list of
schools,
Mission:America - Homosexuality /
Bisexuality
dropping 200 schools from the list leaves many hundreds
still there. Massachusetts alone has
about 190 schools on the list. There
were several schools in our area which were listed as
supporting the day of silence, but are now not on that list.
The list of supporting
schools is on a web site called missionamerica.com. That site says, “If your school is listed…,
please double-check with your local school to see if the school is actually
sponsoring the Day of Silence. Sometimes the
"participation" turns out to be a handful of kids who are saying they
have a homosexual club and are observing this protest day, but without school
endorsement. We sincerely hope your school, if listed
below, is not actually an official sponsor. If they
ARE NOT, we will take them off the list, if a school official asks us to do so.”
That list, then, is to be
of schools which are officially endorsing the
homosexual promoting day of silence.
That is the maximum support. Many
schools which are not on the list do have Gay Straight
Alliance Clubs and students who will be actively promoting homosexuality on
their day of silence.
I know of one local school which was on the list and was taken off, so apparently
that school does not officially endorse the day of silence. However, that school does have a GSA Club,
and that school does sponsor a diversity fair later in the year, which promotes
homosexuality. We can assume then, that
although that school does not officially endorse the day of silence, they don’t oppose it, either, and they will have students
actively promoting homosexuality on that day.
Again, that list is of schools which are officially and openly endorsing the homo
promo day. Many other schools will have
students actually participating. There
is no list of schools which are officially opposing
the day of silence. Many schools will be
coy and will not officially endorse or oppose the day of silence. To not oppose the
homo promo day is to support it. To
allow it to be observed at all is to support it.
If a school teacher tries
to take roll and several students absolutely refuse to answer, those students
are being disruptive. If a teacher asks
a student a question and that student remains silent and refuses to answer,
that student should be noisily booted out of the
class. Why in the world should a school
allow any students to decide that they’re not going to
say anything all day? Are the school teachers in charge or are the students in charge?
Allowing students to
refuse to fully participate in the classes puts the
homosexuals in charge of the schools.
The liberals decide that on a certain day they
are going to disrupt the schools by not participating, and somehow nearly every
school in the country has to go along with that.
The Mission America web
site also says, “Please pray that on all sides of this issue, people treat each
other with civility and our schools remain peaceful during the Day of Silence,
the Day of Truth, and in the weeks that follow. The
Day of Silence is very divisive, yet we must remain civilized while hopefully
bringing it to a halt.”
The public schools are a
war zone. No wonder so little learning
takes place there.
So the American Family Association is urging parents
to contact their schools and inform them that if the school is supporting the
homosexual day of silence, the parent will not allow his or her child to attend
that school that day. However, if a
school is willing to be publicly listed as supporting
the homosexual day of silence, they surely are not supporting homosexuality for
just one day. Those policies and
attitudes will be there year round.
To pull children out of
the public schools for one day, during the homosexual promoting day of silence,
doesn’t really accomplish much. The schools will still be the same. Parents need to get their kids out of the
public schools not just for a day, but for a life
time. That will positively change the
lives of those children and their families.
That is what needs to be done.
AFA has about 3 ½ million
supporters. When they threatened to call
a boycott on Wal-Mart for the day after Thanksgiving, Wal-Mart dropped its pro-homo
policies. When AFA boycotted Ford, the sales drop
threatened to bankrupt the company.
What if the American
Family Association called for a total boycott of the ACLU controlled public
schools?
What if,
instead of contacting schools and threatening to pull kids out for one day,
people all across the nation write letters to the editors of local newspapers
telling about the day of silence, and urging parents to get their kids out of
those schools for good?
The godless liberals know
what they are doing. For decades they have been moving America away from being an
outwardly Christian nation, mostly through the media and the education system. Now, through the media and the education
system, they are retraining America’s youth to accept homosexuality. They do this by force, through the courts,
and by stealth, through exposure to such things as GSA clubs. Pulling students out of these schools for one
day will do almost nothing to change that.
America badly needs to change the whole education system. The day of silence on April 25 is a good
opportunity for us to encourage America to do just that.
