Gen 19:1-11, WEB
(1) The two angels came to Sodom at evening. Lot sat in the gate of Sodom. Lot
saw them, and rose up to meet them. He bowed himself
with his face to the earth,
(2) and he said, "See now, my lords, please
turn aside into your servant's house, stay all night, wash your feet, and you
will rise up early, and go on your way." They
said, "No, but we will stay in the street all night."
(3) He urged them greatly, and they came in with
him, and entered into his house. He made them a feast,
and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
(4) But before they lay down, the men of the
city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every
quarter.
(5) They called to Lot, and said to him,
"Where are the men who came in to you this night? Bring
them out to us, that we may have sex with them."
(6) Lot went out to them to the door, and shut
the door after him.
(7) He said, "Please, my brothers, don't act
so wickedly.
(8) See now, I have two virgin daughters. Please let me bring them out to you, and you may do to
them what seems good to you. Only don't do anything to
these men, because they have come under the shadow of my roof."
(9) They said, "Stand back!" Then they said, "This one fellow came in to live
as a foreigner, and he appoints himself a judge. Now
will we deal worse with you, than with them!" They
pressed hard on the man Lot, and drew near to break the door.
(10) But the men put forth their hand, and brought Lot into the house to them, and shut the door.
(11) They struck the men who were at the
door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find
the door.”
That’s a brief account of a true event. Sodom and Gomorrah
and the rest of the five cities of the plain are mentioned in the Ebla tablets,
in the same order they are given in Genesis. Apparently they were either
destroyed so completely that no definite remains have been found, or they are now
covered up by the Dead Sea.
It is most interesting to
note the nature of the Sodomites. When
the two messengers of Yahweh came in to Sodom, word quickly got around
town. The men of Sodom surrounded the
house, young and old, all the people from every quarter of the city. When Lot refused them, they would not be turned down, and were going to break down the
door to get what they wanted.
Finally the messengers of Yahweh struck them blind. Now that is a big thing in a person’s
life. When the apostle Paul was struck blind, he did not eat or drink anything for three
days. When the men of Sodom were struck blind, they still tried to get in the door. Now that’s a
demented mind.
Mrs. Sally Kern is a
Republican legislator in Oklahoma. She
is a former school teacher and the wife of a Baptist
preacher.
She gave the following
talk a few times to small groups of conservative Republicans in Oklahoma. It wasn’t really a
formal speech, more like an off the cuff talk.
I have edited it just a little bit, taking out
some phrases like “you know” and “OK,” which we all use in everyday
conversation.
Mrs. Sally Kern said:
“The homosexual agenda is
destroying this nation… It's just a fact. Not
everybody's lifestyle is equal, just like not all religions are equal.
You know, the very fact
that I'm talking to you like this here today, puts me in jeopardy… I'm not gay-bashing, but according to God's word that is not
the right kind of lifestyle. It has
deadly consequences for those people involved in it. They have more suicides and they're
more discouraged. There's
more illness. Their lifespans
are shorter, you know?
It's not a lifestyle that is good for this nation.
Matter
of fact, studies show, that no society that has totally embraced homosexuality
has lasted more than…a few decades.
So it's the
death knell of this country. I honestly
think it's the biggest threat even, that our nation
has, even more so than terrorism or Islam, which I think is a big threat.
Because what's
happening now, they're going after -- in school -- two year-olds!
You know why they're
trying to get early childhood education? They want to
get our young children into the government schools so they can indoctrinate
them! I taught school for close to twenty years and
we're not teaching facts and knowledge anymore folks, we're teaching
indoctrination. OK?
And they're going after our young children, as young
as two years of age, to try to teach them that the homosexual lifestyle is the acceptable
lifestyle.
Gays are infiltrating city
councils.
Eureka Springs, anybody been
there, for the Passion Play? Have you heard that the city council of Eureka
Springs is now controlled by gays?
There are some others. Pittsburgh, Pa.; Tacoma, Md.; Kensington, Md.;
in Vermont, Oregon, West Palm Beach, Fla. and a lot of other places in Florida.
What's happening?
And they are winning
elections. One of the things I
deal with in our legislature.
I tried to introduce a
bill last year, that would notify parents -- schools
had to let parents know what clubs their students were involved in. And the reason I did
that bill, primarily, was this, we had the Gay-Straight Alliance coming into
our schools.
Kids are getting involved
in these groups, their lives are being ruined, their parents don't know about
it. So I introduced a bill that said you have to
notify all clubs, and things. And one of my colleagues
said, "Well, you know we don't have a gay problem in my community, so
that's why I voted against that bill."
Well you know what? To me that is so dumb. If you've
got cancer or something in your little toe, do you say, Well you know I’m just gonna forget about it, 'cause the
rest of you's fine?
It spreads!
This stuff is deadly, and it's spreading and it will destroy our young people. It will destroy this nation.”
So said
Mrs. Sally Kern, wife of a Baptist preacher and pastor.
The fourth time Mrs. Kern
gave this talk, it was recorded by a liberal and
uploaded to YouTube.
There the audio of her talk plays, accompanied by threatening still
shots put together by the uploader.

Mrs. Kern’s talk before a
group of conservatives enraged the liberals.
They have orchestrated a widespread, vicious attack against this elderly
lady. She has received
tens of thousands of emails, most of them hostile, many of them reaching the most extreme limits of vulgarity, and a number of them
threatening to kill her. If you look at YouTube, you will see listed video after video, trying to
intimidate and attack. Ellen DeGeneres, live on her daily TV show, tried to call Mrs.
Kern, to publicly mock her. Mrs. Kern wisely declined to take the call.
Many leftists are saying that
Mrs. Kern should not be allowed to say what she
said. Take note of that, America. They say she should not
even be allowed to speak against sodomy.
If we don’t
get freedom of education in America, where we stop paying the godless public
school socialists to indoctrinate 90% of our children, we will lose freedom of
the press, freedom of religion and freedom of speech. We are almost there.
The liberals say Mrs. Kern’s
statements might incite violence against homosexuals. At the same time, they threaten to kill her. They conveniently do not see the
contradiction there.
The liberals’ reaction to
this short talk to a small group of conservatives is similar to the Muslims’
reaction to the Muhammad cartoons published in newspapers. The Muslims rioted and tried to kill
people. The liberals consider themselves
not at all like Muslims, yet they react the same way to an opinion different than theirs.
Almost all the media
reporting is warped on this. Their articles report how Mrs. Kern ranted
against the homosexuals and how much outrage there is over that. They do not express any outrage at all over
this little old lady, former school teacher, preacher’s
wife receiving multiple death threats.
The liberals approach is
similar to the men of Sodom. They
intimidate, mock and attack. How many
other conservatives will now be bold enough to speak against sodomy?
Let me
repeat what this former teacher said about education.
“You know why they're

Many wives of preachers
work in the public schools. Hopefully they will follow the lead of Mrs. Kern and come
over to the other side.
