Listen to this article.

California is getting a little worked up over their new school homosexual indoctrination laws.  How much they are getting worked up only time will tell.

One law requires public school instructional materials and school-sponsored activities to positively portray

Another law requires public schools, in their “anti-harrassment training,” to distribute material to teachers, students, and parents which promotes transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality.

This law was signed into effect by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.  There are a lot of Republicans who are not on the same side as the Christians.  James Dobson is with Focus on the Family, the most recognized Christian organization in America.  He has said that as a Christian he could never vote for John McCain, because McCain was against the marriage amendment, he helped put in controls where Christian organizations cannot speak about political events, and he uses vile, obscene language.

Elections are often tilted in surprising ways.  Running for the Republican presidential nomination were a whole bunch of conservatives; one who claimed he had just become a conservative, Romney; and one who is not a social conservative at all, McCain.  In most of the primaries the non-conservative McCain got about a third of the vote, and two thirds voted against him.  In addition, some of McCain’s support did not come from Republicans at all but from independents and Democrats, where they were allowed to vote in the Republican primaries.  Yet the man whom two thirds of Republicans voted against is winning their nomination.

In California there is a predictable reaction against their new homo promo laws.  How much action will this reaction lead to?

Saveourkids.net is leading a drive to collect enough signatures to have a voter referendum to reverse the Schwarzenegger laws.  In response to that and the threat of student walkouts the state superintendent of schools sent out a letter to school administrators warning of a possible student walkout.  He encouraged the administrators to tell their students to stay in the schools, because they would miss learning time and the schools would miss out on the money they would get if the students are not there.

Some time back I saw a write up in a church newspaper, The United News, about one of their elders.  The purpose of the article was to brag that one of their church elders had the lofty position as a California school superintendent.  The article stuck in my mind because I realized that this man, supposedly a follower of Christ and supposedly able to teach others to follow Christ, was personally responsible for overseeing teaching hundreds or thousands of students that God does not exist, that the Bible should not be studied, and that the God who does not exist should not be prayed to.

Now that elder/school superintendent is personally responsible for overseeing the teaching to young people that homosexuality is healthy.  Can Christ possibly be pleased with such people?

The referendum campaign to reverse the homosexual indoctrination law in the public schools would only take them back to where they were.  They would still not allow God, the Bible, or prayer – and the liberals would still be in charge of the young people of California.  Is that good?

No.

Someone should start a referendum in California not to undo the law, but to undo the schools.  Freedom of education failed in Utah because the NEA covered up what is going on in the schools.  In California the purpose of the public schools is very apparent – to train a Godless, left wing society.  Californians should take this opportunity to vote on freedom of education, not just on keeping the liberals in power in the public schools.

There are other movements in California now to do the only sensible thing – get kids out of the homosexual schools.  Some of these movements are called

Randy Thomasson is the leader of the Campaign for Children and Families.  He said:

“First, [California] law allowed public schools to voluntarily promote homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality.

Then, the law required public schools to accept homosexual, bisexual and transsexual teachers as role models for impressionable children.

Now, the law has been changed to effectively require the positive portrayal of homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality to 6 million children in California government-controlled schools.”

Notice the progression there.

A similar progression took place in public schools in general.

First, at the time of the Scopes trial in the 1920’s, states were passing laws against the teaching of evolution.  After the mockery of the Scopes trial, evolution was allowed to be taught in the schools.  Then progressively the Bible was not allowed in the schools, public prayer was not allowed in the schools, and finally evolution was required in the schools.

That process led to the process we see in California.  That same process will occur nationwide, unless the liberal schools are disempowered.

This same type of liberal progression in the schools is happening in the country as a whole.  The schools make the nation.  They mold its people.  Just as the schools went from McGuffey’s Readers to Schwarzenegger’s sodomy classes, so the country is going from Christian to anti-Christian.  America’s Christians have to stop supporting the institutions of homosexual learning or America won’t have any Christians.

This progression does not stop at a certain point.  Public school Christians are comfortable with evolution, comfortable with no Bible, comfortable with no prayer – and they assume that the whole process has stopped now.  They assume that’s as far as it goes.  They think the liberals are satisfied.  That’s absurd!

This is ongoing process, and California is really going.  Furthermore, it’s almost certain that the next president of the United States will be either Obama, the Clintons, or McCain.  Either one of these will be willing to sign into federal law the same type of program which California now has.  That will almost certainly happen in the next few years.

All these exodus movements are trying to convince people that their children shouldn’t be taught to be homosexuals.  Why should they have to convince them?  Why can’t each parent plainly see that?

Based on past history, most Christians in California will not leave the public schools because they are teaching their children homosexuality.  Most did not leave when they taught evolution.  Most did not leave when they forbid the Bible.  Most did not leave when they forbid prayer to God.  Most will not leave when the schools teach their children homosexuality.  Most will not want to deny themselves the comfort of having the government raise their children.

Christ does not want His followers to be comfortable.  He wants His followers to be committed.  If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Right now following Christ means getting out of the homosexual schools.
