A momentous event has occurred
in the history of government schools in America.
Governor Schwarzenegger
has signed into law in California SB 777, called the Student Civil Rights
Act. This law has the effect of forcing
the teaching of homosexuality in all California public schools.
Previously Schwarzenegger
had vetoed such a bill, only one year ago.
This time he approved it. That
underscores the importance of having leaders who are men of principle, not just
politicians. Men of principle will
stand, regardless of the effect on their political careers. Politicians change with the wind.
The wind has changed in
California and in the United States. Forcing
the teaching of homosexuality in all California public schools in all grades is
a first for the nation. Liberals have
sneaked homo teaching into the schools in the past, but now they have the power
of government law behind them. Parents
will not be able to opt out of this teaching.
What effects will this
immediately begin to have?
First of
all, the textbooks for use all
across the nation will be rewritten.
California is a big textbook market, and California is a market
leader. Textbook publishers print
textbooks to sell. They are not
interested in truth. They are interested
in sales. Even though California is the
only state which has forced homosexual teaching by
law, the textbook publishers will now alter their textbooks, which will then be
purchased for use all across the nation.
If you are a public school
parent anywhere in the US, this California law will affect what your child will
read in his textbooks. Those texts will
present a view of America which has never been presented
and which is a lie. In order to ensure
that they do not reflect badly on homosexuality, they will go
to the other extreme. They will
find homosexual heroes where none existed.
They will make out American historical figures to be clandestine
homosexuals, or they will picture American historical figures to be bigots and
not heroes at all. All of this will be a
lie, just as evolution is a lie, but it will be presented
as gospel truth, just as evolution has been presented as truth.
Will the next generation
of Americans believe this lie which will be presented
in their trusted textbooks as truth?
Well, do they believe evolution?
The California law bans
discriminatory bias based on gender identity.
That will have the effect of banning normal family words and concepts. Liberals consider the promotion of the normal
traditional family in any form as discriminatory. Therefore in the
schools families must never be pictured only as a husband and wife or father
and mother. Even such words as father
and mother and mom and dad will be politically incorrect in California schools,
and consequently in California society.
Students will be actively taught that homosexuality is a moral
behavior. They will be
actively taught that it is immoral to call such behavior immoral. They will be shown
specifically in detail what homosexual practices are. They will be religiously
indoctrinated in this new morality.
No students will be able to object to this indoctrination. No other viewpoints will be
allowed.
Because discrimination is
forbidden based on perceived gender, it would seem that a young man may
perceive himself for a short while as female, in which case he would be
entitled to use the female restrooms.
Are there some young men in California schools who are eager to try
this?
The Gay-Straight Alliance
Network and the Transgender Law Center says, "If you want to use a
restroom that matches your gender identity … you should be allowed to do so. Whenever students
are divided up into boys and girls, you should be allowed to join the group or
participate in the program that matches your gender identity as much as
possible." The advocacy group also warns schools
against bringing parents into any such discussion with students.
In response to this, some
Californians are trying to get a referendum on the statewide ballot repealing the
homo indoctrination law. The plan has been filed with the California Attorney General, and the
sponsors have 90 days to collect about 435,000 signatures to get the issue on a
statewide ballot.
That is a terrible mistake
by these people.
Even if their referendum
gets on the ballot and is approved, that still puts
them right back where they were, and that is with their children under
government control. That is the basic
problem. Government should never be
educating its citizens, any more than it should be running its press or its
churches. When a government educates its
citizens, that government will always want to educate them for the purposes of
the government, as California is doing now.
It would be far better if
these concerned people would put their effort into changing this whole system
of education, taking the power of education out of the hands of perverse
politicians and putting it into the hands of the parents. Nothing short of that will ever make a real change
for the better.
California had such a
measure on the ballot a few years ago.
It was voted down by liberals and by some
Christians. The Christians said they
feared that if the government handed out funds for education, that would
compromise the Christian education system which
already existed. Because they did that,
the state of California is in the position it is in today. What if California had
approved that change in education, giving parents the power over education
instead of leaving it in the hands of perverse politicians? What would California be like today? Would almost all of California’s children now
be receiving indoctrination into sodomy?
Surely not.
What those Christians did
not realize is that their educational freedom is in great danger, anyway. The liberals will not stop at controlling the
public schools. They intend to put anti-Christian
teachings and practices into every family in America. They are only using the public schools as a
power base for doing that. When they
have indoctrinated enough young people into their religion, then they will move against those remnants they have not been able to control. They will move to bring churches, Christian schools
and Christian homeschools under their control, and
they will have the political power to do that, because of their having
indoctrinated 90% of American youth into their beliefs.
So the California people
are going to
put a lot of effort and money into repealing SB 777 and if they are successful,
they will be little better off than they are now. The liberals will come right back at them
again, and again, and again. Besides,
most of the public school teachers are socialists themselves, and many already
actively support the homosexual evangelization program on the local level. California’s only chance at freedom of
education is to repeal the whole government school system.
Last February the Utah legislature
passed into law the Parent Choice in Education Act. That made government education vouchers
available to any public school student who wishes to transfer to a private
school and any current private school from a lower income family. Utah spends about $7,500 per public school
student, and the vouchers are for much less than that, from $500 to $3000,
varying with family income. That could
save Utah taxpayers about $5,500 per student who opts out of the public school
system. Based on historical results, the
private school students would do far better academically and socially.
As expected, this law was attacked en masse by the liberals. They have managed to get a vote to repeal the
law on a Utah statewide ballot this Tuesday, November 6. They use their usual arguments that freedom
of education will pull money from the public schools and will cause racial
division. The system was set up so that
it would not pull money from the public school system but from general funds,
and the private schools in Utah are more racially mixed than the public schools
are. The NEA, the National Education
Association, the extreme left wing teachers’ union, has spent one and a half
million dollars in Utah to urge voters to repeal the Parent Choice in Education
Act. They have allotted another million and a half to spend there. Teachers unions in Maine, Colorado, Arizona
and Wyoming have contributed money against the parents in Utah, and teachers’
unions from other states are joining in.
The Parent Choice in
Education law in Utah was the first of its kind in the nation, trying to
establish educational freedom in a nation which has
freedom of the press and freedom of religion, but is in danger of losing both
of those because it does not have freedom of education. Now the liberals are spending all out, trying
to maintain their control so that ultimately they can do the same thing in Utah
and all across the nation that they have done in California.
Utah has a privately
funded scholarship program to rescue kids from the public schools. It is called Children
First Utah. It makes funds available to
low income students to enable them to attend private schools. They are only able to supply 15% of the
scholarships requested. They have to
turn down 85% of their applicants.
Any parent, including all
those 85%, who wants to escape that left wing religious indoctrination can do
so right now. You do not have to wait
for a voucher law. Just pull them out
and regain control of your family. Any
parent who does not do this and leaves his children in the public schools is
helping the homosexuals take over America, as they have done in California.
